Concrete that looks
the way it was planned.

We take responsibility for exposed concrete — in new builds and existing structures, from technical substance to perfectly finished surface.

We are partner of SB5ÜNF GmbH.

When the formwork comes off, what's left is a raw state. Only through our finishing process is the specified concrete class achieved.

Five steps to a perfect result.

Before we start, we analyse your needs based on the specified concrete class and your project's individual requirements — and assemble the right team.

  1. 01

    Sample surface.

What couldn't be settled at the desk — measure, tone, sheen, depth — is settled on site. The sample surface serves as the reference for the entire area. What's agreed here is no longer renegotiated on the surface itself.

  2. 02

    Cleaning.

Dirt, efflorescence, old coatings, formwork-oil residue. The original concrete tone is exposed without harming the surface. Tailored to substrate and damage profile — mechanical or manual.

    Reprofiling.

Anchor holes, formwork imprints, wood grain, edges, joints. What was lost during casting is rebuilt — down to the original grain, indistinguishable from the existing surface. Edges, formwork seams and geometries are precisely reworked through hand modelling.

    Retouching.

Concrete-look matching across the surface, age-typical patina, discolouration, pour lines. Carried out in an illusionistic, painterly way, with the eye of restorers. Colour matching with mineral systems that don't form a film coating, but bond with the substrate.

    Sealing & glaze.

Hydrophobic sealing, glaze, anti-graffiti — wherever the project calls for it. On façades almost always sensible, indoors often unnecessary. Mineral glazes bind dust, control sheen and unify the overall appearance — without losing the natural nuance of the concrete.

We know the classes. And their grey areas.

The Sichtbeton specification (DBV/VDZ) defines four classes, SB1 to SB4. We work precisely to the specified class — and mediate where it leaves room for interpretation: between architect, client and contractor. Most of the time it isn't a technical problem, but a communication one.

Concrete knows no city limits. Neither do we.

We work all across Germany. Wherever your project is — we travel with our network and bring the surface up to the specified class.

The Orbit Lab. Studio for surfaces.

The Orbit Lab operates on two stages. In Berlin we develop surfaces with architectural studios — sampling, checking whether vision and feasibility align, documenting the result. What needs to work on the scaffold is created here first.

On site we develop methods for projects that can't be solved with standard tools. Custom tools, custom procedures — University of Konstanz is the most recent example. We go beyond exposed concrete: slate imitations, special surfaces, public art.

Unique projects demand unique teams.

Every team is a bundle of pooled skills, assembled per project. Sometimes the fast crew that delivers in two days. Sometimes the restorer applying a glaze 40 metres up that only the trained eye can spot. Sometimes the artist recreating a patina that never disappeared.

At the core of our network is a close partnership with SB5ÜNF GmbH — joint projects, shared capacities, coordinated methodology. What we promise, we carry together.

We coordinate. You have one point of contact.

Lorenz

Lorenz Pasch is founder of Orbit Werk. Diplom in Painting, Master in Sculpture, SIVV-qualified and recognised by the Chamber of Crafts as Painter/Varnisher and Plasterer.

Momo & Paul

Momo and Paul are the Dream-Team. When they're on site, the day runs as planned — well-rehearsed, thorough, fast.

Damian

Damian is artist and restorer. He brings his own team when a project needs additional coordination.

Jochen

Jochen is the seasoned hand. When speed matters, he takes on the large-scale site with his crew and keeps even tight deadlines.

Caro

Caro is artist and stage designer. Specialist for surfaces and textures that no one can tell apart from the original structure.

Leone

Leone handles the heavy lifting. He prepares surfaces when substance is at stake — removal, reprofiling, preparation.
